Our journey across the Nullarbor & Great Australian Bight – part two

norseman

We made it across – our journey to date a mere 2476km!!!!

We headed off early this morning  after waking up at 5am as still working on Victoria time!  This leg of the journey was no where near as interesting as the actual Nullarbor crossing itself – the only interesting things (if you can really call them that) was the roadkill on the side of the road which was amazing…..huge numbers of kangeroos must get wiped out every year – we even saw a dead camel on the side of the road – surely a truck hit that one!

Here is a view of the exciting countryside we viewed for 8 hours today

Surprisingly we saw 3 cyclists on our journey all riding separate from each other in the opposite direction – crazy!!!  I managed to snap 2 of them as we drove past

and the usual interesting signage

We hit Norseman at around 3.30pm and have pulled in to a camping spot for the night just outside of Norseman.  We will head through to Esperance tomorrow and have some R&R through till Friday – checking out what are supposed to be Australia’s most beautiful beaches!!!
