Finley to Swan Hill via Mead

swan hill

We left Finley on another frosty morning – but nowhere near as nasty as the last few mornings.  Again the day turned in to the most beautiful sunny day – and its getting slightly warmer as we head more inland (thank goodness).

We stopped off in Cohuna to catch up with a couple we met on the bus tour around the UK – they are dairy farmers a few kms out of Cohuna (Mead).  We had a lovely lunch with them catching up on the rest of their travels and ours from the time we left each other in London.

We have stopped in Swan Hill for the night  at a nice little camp.  Despite being school holidays these parks have all been pretty quiet – guess only the hardened nomads venture out in the cooler weather – or the others have all taken off up north for warmer weather by now.

A couple in the van next to us here have a 2 year cavoodle who is twice the size and weight of Chip – he was a bit overawed with her. I much prefer our ‘petite’ little boy…

We should arrive in Mildura by midday tomorrow and get all set up for the next 6 weeks or so…everyone we have met says that Mildura is lovely so we are really looking forward to our stay there.
