Cologne Germany

Our last stop on the cruise was the city of Cologne. Quite large with a population of 1 million. Wasn't one of our favourites as we have much preferred the smaller towns.

We did part of a walking tour round the old part of town then went exploring on our own.

Excavation of the old Jewish quarter
We were going to go in to the chocolate museum but it wasn't open sadly.

We set sail again while having lunch on the last stretch to Amsterdam This stretch of the Rhine is verh busy with river ships both freight and leisure. It's not unusual to have 5 ships in sight at one time.

Our last dinner on board was a bit subdued though both Mal and I are looking forward to our next adventures.

Although some bugger on board has knicked off with one of my bras - lost in the laundry - all in all it has been a fantastic 2 weeks of laughs, friendship, awesome food and wine and of course great sights and experiences. If you have ever thought of doing a river cruise go ahead - its a great way to travel and you will be spoilt rotten!
