Night out in Wurzburg

We decided to head out for dinner off the boat while in Wurzburg.  Firstly we headed up to the old bridge where there is a small winery and grabbed a glass of Frankonian wine.  A lot of the locals just sit by the bridge looking down at the world going by having a drink.  It started to rain while we were there so we headed in to the little wine shop and ended up chatting with a local couple - who initially thought we were English!!!



We then headed to a restaurant called Kai which had been recommended by the staff on board.  It was a lovely little restaurant with great views out across the river.  The waitress we had spoke pretty good english and she seemed happy to be able to practice her english with us.  It was funny at times though...like when we asked for some water and she asked if we would like it 'with gas' or 'without gas'!  She had a trainee with her who also spoke english with an american accent as she has been dating an american!!!  We had the hugest pizza between the two of us.  The german couple we sat next to us kept laughing at us trying to get through it but between the both of them they had a huge meal that they didn't touch the sides of as well.  The waitress asked us if we wanted to take a dog bag home....we just laughed and told her we were from the ship and had enough food onboard already!
