The river cruise 'family' is getting more familiar and with it all the idiosyncracies are emerging and my movie script evolving...I think I may just make a block buster out of this one....watch and see.....
Melk is just the most beautiful place...us 'young ones' took the bicycles out for a ride this morning....no competition from the others that are on board...LOL
cycling round Melk was just like something out of a movie....beautiful Spring day....clean quaint village....
We stopped off on the way back with a couple from the boat...actually a judge from Ozzie and his wife..yes we are hobnobbing it......and had an Austrian beer in an Austrian beer house....and then went back to the ship for a light lunch....
then back in to Melk in the avo for a tour of the Abbey...oh my god I have not seen such an ornate Church in all my life....makes you feel like you want to become Catholic just to pray in it....
then back to the ship for wine tasting from the region (yum yum) and then an Epicurian dinner (food matched with local wines so even yummier) and then a large group of us 'tripped the light fantastic' in the lounge with drinks and dancing...loads of fun
As I type we are heading out of Austria to Passau in Germany.....
